However, this doesn’t mean you have to do it alone or feel as if you are failure for reaching out for help. Therapy is creating a safe space where you can focus on your personal needs. It is a place where you can practice selfcare and be the positive change you aim to be. Therapy allows you to be open and honest with yourself. Finally, it is a place where you can be selfish and heard without any judgment or misunderstanding. Let's fight the stigma!
I have worked with many populations at a variety of locations. I've worked with children & teens, adults, families, DV & SA survivors, the LGBTQ+ community, and in substance abuse. I work with presenting problems such as anxiety, self-esteem issues, anger, trauma, life transitions & adjustments. However, I am open to anyone who is seeking help.
I am a minority who knows how mental health is stigmatized. COVID-19 has impacted minorities more than any other population. Racial injustice & police brutality continue to be a huge issue. Not only will I be able to understand where your feelings are coming from, but I will empathize & work with you to find solutions to whatever you are struggling with.
